Lyrics

Vacation by Bill Bellaver

I got a dollar in my pocket and a half bottle of rum
The sun is shining and the rays are hot
gonna soak me some
When the phone rings it’s a wake up call
I’ll roll outa bed holding my head
I’m on vacation I’m on vacation
We’re the first ones at the bar everyday
We know the waitress by name and she has our key
In case we lose our way and we don’t care if work don’t call
We’ll be on our stools unless we fall
We’re on vacation, we’re on vacation

At noon we start to gather by the sand
Parrotheads emerge with drinks in hand
Some are hurtin, some are flirtin some are with the band

At night we start to plan another day
Right through to morning till we get that warning
Last call is on the way
And we don’t care if work don’t call we’ll be on our stools unless we fall
We’re on vacation we’re on vacation
Solo

At noon we start to gather in the sand
Parrotheads emerge with drinks in hand
Some are hurtin, some are flirtin, some are with the band
At night we start to plan another day
Right through to morning till we get that warning
Last call is on the way
And we don’t care if work don’t call we’ll be on our stools unless we fall
We’re on vacation we’re on vacation
We’re on vacation we’re all on vacation
